Now with the new DivX player for your mobile you can easily play avi files in your mobile. The interface is very good. You can either play the videos in LandScape mode or Portrait mode. DivX Converter lets you convert from several video formats into high-quality DivX video on your PC for playback on your mobile phone. You need to Drag and drop the video you want to convert into DivX Converter, Choose “Mobile” profile* and Click “Convert”. The file will be converted. Then copy the video to your mobile and play it.

These days many people are using BitTorrent. Here is an open source application for your mobiles. This works the same way as your desktop application works. SymTorrent is the first full-featured and complete BitTorrent client for Symbian OS. It supports downloading multiple torrent files at the same time, is capable of both downloading and uploading and can save the status of your unfinished torrents, so you can resume the downloads after restarting the application. You can also check the status of each file inside a torrent along with several other statistics and properties during download.

The best thing is that SymTorrent is a free and open source software. It is distributed under the GNU General Public License. The new version features a built-in tracker, proxy support and a couple of bugfixes. On the protocol level, SymTorrent now supports the multi-tracker extension. We are going to add further details on the use of the proxy and the tracker in the near future. So now you can happily download your favorite bittorrent files from your mobiles also. This application works only with S60 Platform 3rd and 2nd edition devices.
